What better way to impress guests than having a private function at the über-trendy 221 Waterfront? This contemporary styled restaurant and cocktail bar makes extensive use of frameless glass in the form of sliding doors which open the entire length of the shop front, revealing breathtaking views of both Table Mountain and the working harbour from every table in the restaurant.

The entire restaurant has a minimalist, modern and chic feel and is perfectly designed to host functions no matter how big or small.

The private dining area can accommodate parties of up to 70 guests, and can easily be separated from the rest of the restaurant with the use of oversized slatted sliding timber doors. This area has a feature fireplace and its own toilet facilities.

The central area of the restaurant, which seats 40 people, has a full view of the stainless steel clad kitchen built to international standards and offers the theatre of chefs in action. This area can also be transformed into a bandstand and dance floor and is equipped with a state of the art professional sound system.

221 Waterfront is one of only a few restaurants in the V&A Waterfront that has a cocktail lounge bar that is a designated, well air-conditioned and extracted smoking area, allowing for visitors to enjoy the simple pleasures in life! The impressive glass-enclosed, temperature controlled wine cellar features the finest wines that South Africa has to offer. The unique bar itself contains a refrigerated stainless steel channel that ensures that your drink or cocktail remains chilled at all times. This area also has a feature fireplace and its own toilet facilities.
